The band broke out the rare gem during their South American tour kickoff in Peru
Last night, Megadeth kicked off the South American leg of the Crush the World Tour in Lima, Peru. The thrash metal titans treated the capacity crowd at Arena 1, the band played a 16-song set that included some of there biggest hits and some tunes from their latest album. Additionally, Dave Mustaine and company pulled out a rare gem just three songs in.
Megadeth played a deep cut from their 1986 opus Peace Sells…but Who’s Buying? called “Devil’s Island.” It was the first time the song has seen the lights of a stage since 2014. Check out the fan-filmed footage below.
Megadeth’s latest album The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! came out in 2022 through Tradecraft/UMG. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 across Billboards Top Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative Albums charts. The record’s lead single “We’ll Be Back” was nominated for a GRAMMY® Award for Best Metal Performance.
