(TRR) Florida metal outfit Trivium have premiered a brand new single “The Sin and The Sentence.” The official music video for the track can be streamed above. It is the band’s first piece of recorded material since 2015. It also marks the studio debut of new drummer Alex Bent (Battlecross, Decrepit Birth) who joined the band towards the end of 2016. The new single is available now for digital download.
Trivium’s last effort, 2015’s Silence In The Snow (Roadrunner Records), debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top Rock and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. It peaked at #19 on the Billboard Top 200. The band are expected to release their eight studio LP later this year. The disc is supposedly titled VIII.
Trivium are currently touring the festival circuit in Europe. The are set to appear at Wacken Open Air this Friday. The run wraps up on August 26 at Reload Festival in Germany.
