The band recently announced their return from hiatus
The Gaslight Anthem have announced a 2022 world tour. The news comes just days after they band announced their return from a lengthy 7-year hiatus. The band will be making stops in England, Germany and Ireland this August. In the fall, they will return to the U.S. for a string of U.S. shows. The trek will see the band perform in Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, and several other cities. Tigers Jaw and Jeff Rosenstock will provide support on select dates. General public on-sale for all European dates begins Thursday, March 31 at 10am local time while U.S. dates go on sale Friday, April 1 at 10am local time.
The Gaslight Anthem’s official last show before their indefinite hiatus was August 30, 2015 at Reading Festival in England. The band would, however, reunite briefly in 2018 for a string of shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of their seminal album ‘The ’59 Sound.’ The run ended with three shows at the Stone Pony’s Summer Stage in their home state of New Jersey, once again in August.
The band has also promised a brand new studio album. Their last effort was 2014’s Get Hurt. Released via Island Records, the album peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. It also topped the Billboard Alternative Albums Chart and hit No. 2 on the Rock Albums Chart.
