Released back in March through the band’s own label, Silver Arrow Records, the band’s tenth studio effort Happiness Bastards was helmed by  GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Jay Joyce. After touring relentlessly in celebration of their seminal debut Shake Your Money Maker, The Black Crowes are finally back on the road pushing a brand new record.

Happiness Bastards is our love letter to rock n’ roll,” The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson stated when the record was announced. “Rich and I are always writing and creating music; that has never stopped for us, and it is always where we find harmony together.”

Guitarist Rich Robinson elaborated, “This record represents that. This album is a continuation of our story as a band. Our years of experience writing and making music and touring the world are represented in this record, and we were brilliantly guided by one of the best producers in the business, Jay Joyce. I am incredibly proud of what we put together.”

Back in April, Aerosmith confirmed the long-awaited rescheduled dates for their final Peace Out Tour. The shows were previously rescheduled due to frontman Steven Tyler suffering a fractured larynx. On May 15 at the 3,500 capacity Eventim Apollo in London, the legendary rocker joined The Black Crowes on stage for a rendition of Aerosmith’s signature hit, “Mama Kin.”

In addition to Steven Tyler on stage, there was another rock god at the show looking on as a fan – Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page.

This wasn’t the first high-profile special guest that The Black Crowes have had out on this run. Last month at the historic Greek Theater in Los Angeles, Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones hopped on stage with The Crowes for a cover of the Faces’ 1971 classic, “Stay with Me.” Check out the live footage HERE.

The Black Crowes trekking across Europe and the UK after recently wrapped up the U.S. leg of their Happiness Bastards Tour in Philadelphia at The Met. Revisit our review and live photos from the show HERE. The band is touring in support of their latest album, Happiness Bastards. The global trek wraps up on June 4 at Falkonersalen in Copenhagen, Denmark. From there, the band will perform at Sweden Rock Festival on June 5 in Sweden and the Stone & Music Festival on June 9 in Merida, Spain before heading home.

After previously postponing the the bulk of their final run last year, Aerosmith finally confirmed their rescheduled Peace Out Tour dates last month. While the tour kicked off last fall to rave reviews and praise from fans, frontman Steven Tyler sustained a fractured larynx during the band’s performance at UBS Arena on September 9, 2023, just three shows into the band’s 40-date grand finale. As it turns out, Tyler’s recovery has taken longer than expected.

“To our fans: unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought,” the band said in a statement at the time. “His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care. He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential. As a result, all the currently scheduled Peace Out shows must be postponed to sometime in 2024, with new dates to be announced as soon as we know more.”

“I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world,” Steven Tyler said. “I promise we will be back as soon as we can!”

Now, Aerosmith have announced the new round of dates. The Peace Out trek resumes on September 20 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they already played at the start of the original run. The group will also be returning for an encore at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the tour kicked off last year (check out highlights from the show in the clip below). A third addition to the trek will be a performance at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida on February 11, 2025. The band will wrap up the 40-date trek on February 26, 2025, taking their final bows at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. The Black Crowes are still serving as special guests for the entire tour. Opening night in Pittsburgh will feature a special performance by Teddy Swims to kick off the evening, stepping in for The Black Crowes.
