Red Hot Chili Peppers have premiered their new music video for “Go Robot.” The clip, directed by Thoranna Sigurdardottir (Zelos, Noah), was shot over two days in Brooklyn, NY. The video was inspired by and recreates classic scenes from Saturday Night Fever and features the exact same locations used in the film. Dancer and performer Stephanie Crousillat (Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More) makes a cameo.
The band’s eleventh studio album The Getaway, which was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200. It marks the Grammy Award-winning band’s seventh Top 10 album and third #2 on the Top 200 Chart. The disc also debuted at #1 in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, and New Zealand and at #2 in the United Kingdom and Germany.
