On Monday [December 5], Red Hot Chili Peppers announced their return to the road next year. The band will be extending their Unlimited Love Tour with a new round of North American dates. Before that, the Chili Peppers were slated to headline KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on December 9. Now, the group has announced that they will be unable to play the gig.
Red Hot Chili Peppers confirmed Tuesday that “a band member was injured,” and they will not be able to perform for at least six weeks.
It is with deep regret that we will not be able to perform this weekend at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas. A band member was injured, preventing us from being able to perform for at least 6 weeks. However, RHCP and The World Famous KROQ are excited to make it up to you on March 2, 2024 at The Forum [in Inglewood, California]. So, have a great time this weekend and hang on to your ticket.

While the Chili Peppers have dropped off, still slated to perform are The Offspring, Garbage, Portugal. the Man, Cannons, Bleachers, Lovejoy, Bakar, and The Beaches.
The station encouraged fans to keep their KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas tickets for entry to a special performance by the Child Peppers on Saturday, March 2 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Original ticket purchasers will be contacted with details on the additional show soon. Refunds are available for the next 48 hours via Ticketmaster.
After the newly announced headlining show at The Forum next March, Red Hot Chili Peppers will launch a new tour in continued supporting their latest album, Return of the Dream Canteen. The run will see the band perform at some smaller venues than their previous stadium tour dates. The 2024 trek begins on May 28 at the RV Inn Style Resorts Amphitheater in Ridgefield, Washington and wraps up on July 30 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri.
A slew of special guests will accompany the Chili Peppers on select dates, including Kid Cudi, Ice Cube, Ken Carson, Otoboke Beaver, Seun Kuti, Want, and IRONTOM.
“We’re excited to announce that we’ll back in 2024 with shows in North America,” the band said.
