The track is from the recording sessions for 1989’s ‘The Miracle’
Queen have revealed a previously unreleased song featuring the late Freddie Mercury. The track “Face It Alone” was found in the archives from the band’s recording sessions for their 1989 album The Miracle. Stream the official lyric video for the song now below.
Queen unearthed the track while prepping for the album’s re-release. In an interview with BBC Radio 2, the band had forgotten about the song and believed that it had been lost forever. The band is reissuing The Miracle on November 18, and a special 7″ vinyl single of “Face It Alone” will also be released. Fans can pre-order both now HERE.
“It was kind of hiding in plain sight,” guitarist Brian May told BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball. “We looked at it many times and thought, ‘Oh no, we can’t really rescue that,’ but in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, ‘Okay, we can do this and this.’ It’s like kind of stitching bits together. But it’s beautiful. It’s touching.”
