German metal titans Powerwolf have unleashed a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s classic hit, “Bark at the Moon.” Powerwolf released their version as a tribute to The Prince of Darkness on his 75th birthday [3 December]. Stream the official lyric video below now.
Next fall, Powerwolf are returning to the road for their biggest tour yet. Starting in October of 2024, the band will embark in an arena tour across Europe, performing at the largest venues they’ve ever appeared at. Very special guests for the trek will be Hammerfall and Wind Rose. Tickets are on sale now.
Additionally, the band has confirmed a new studio album. The follow-up to 2021’s Call of the Wild, the group has plans to release a new album imminently and will announce additional details soon. Next fall, fans can expect to hear new material from the forthcoming record on their Wolfsnächte Tour.
“We are stoked to announce the biggest tour in Powerwolf’s history and the release of a brand new album in 2024,” the band said in a statement. “Without going into the details of the album yet, Wolfsnächte 2024 will be a breathtaking experience not to be missed! You can expect a massive production and some surprises you haven’t seen from us before! Our friends from Hammerfall and Wind Rose will join us to ensure a perfect evening!”

Powerwolf released their last studio album Call of the Wild back in 2021 through Napalm Records. The album peaked at No. 2 on the German Albums Chart. In 2022, the band released a live stream event called The Monumental Mass – A Cinematic Metal Event. Earlier this year, the band revealed their Interludium album, which featured several previously released tracks plus some new songs.
