The dates are scheduled around his special guest slots with Five Finger Death Punch
Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has announced his first headlining shows in five years. The performances will surround his previously announced special guest slots with Five Finger Death Punch this summer. That tour begins on August 2 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania and wraps up on September 19 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, Texas. Manson has added a few shows of his own to the run. Check out his full upcoming itinerary below.
Marilyn Manson hasn’t toured in five years. His last album, 2020’s We Are Chaos, performed well commercially, topping the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums chart and peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. The record gave Manson his first No. 1 album in Australia since 1998’s Mechanical Animals. Drummer Gil Sharone, who performed on Manson’s previous two albums – The Pale Emperor (2015) and Heaven Upside Down (2017), left the group in 2019. He was replaced by Black Flag drummer Brandon Pertzborn.
Following the release of the album, Manson was subsequently dropped from his label, Loma Vista Recordings, following sexual abuse allegations from his former fiancé, actress Evan Rachel Wood (True Blood, Westworld, Frozen II). Wood, who was in a relationship with Manson from 2007 to 2010, alleged that Manson had “horrifically abused” her throughout the course of their relationship. The couple got engaged in January of 2010, but split a few months later. After Wood made allegations, several other women also came forward and revealed alleged similar experiences.
According to Rolling Stone, Manson filed lawsuits against Wood and another accuser, artist Ashley “Illma” Gore, for defamation and emotional distress, among other complaints. The lawsuits were dismissed, and Manson has been ordered to pay upwards of $500,000 in compensation to Wood and Gore.
