The clips come from the original video’s film rushes
Judas Priest have unleashed a new music video for their metal classic “Painkiller.” The video features high-definition clips from the original “Painkiller” film rushes. Stream the video below now.
The new video is part of Judas Priest’s on-going 50 Heavy Metal Years celebration, marking five decades of metal dominance. The band kicked off their previously postponed North American tour in Reading, PA in September, but the trek came to a sudden halt when guitarist Richie Faulkner had to have emergency heart surgery.
While performing at Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY, Faulkner suffered a severe cardiac issue.
“My aorta ruptured and started to spill blood into my chest cavity,” the guitarist said in a statement. While the tour is officially cancelled for now, Faulkner is on the road to recovery and the tour may be rescheduled. Until the band is able to get back on the road, they have plenty of awesome 50th anniversary merchandise available now HERE.
