The band released the official statement on social media.
Black Stone Cherry bassist Jon Lawhon is leaving the band. According to a statement released on Black Stone Cherry’s official social media, Lawhon is taking an “indefinite sabbatical from music and touring.” Read the full statement below.
Apparently there is no internal conflict, as the band wished Jon “all the best” and seemed to having nothing but love and respect for his decision.
Lawhon is a founding member of Black Stone Cherry. He’s performed on all seven of the band’s studio LPs. The southern hard rock outfit released their seminal debut album back in 2006. Their latest effort – 2020’s The Human Condition – hit No. 1 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart.
