The track is the band’s first with new drummer Ryan Seritti
Hard rock upstarts Eternal Frequency have unleashed a brand new song “Running from Ghosts.” It is the band’s first piece of new material since they completed their Step Up Trilogy with “War” last October. Previous installments in the concept series were “Step Up” and “A.I.” Stream the official audio below now and check out the song’s artwork.
The all-new “Running from Ghosts” is a roller coaster from start to finished. A delicate, haunting verse crecendos into a visceral chorus from lead vocalist Emelle Eternal. All throughout, jagged guitar work by Justin Walters and A.J. Lopez attempts to slice right into the listener’s eardrums. Near the end of the piece, Walters lends his vocal talents to an absolutely brutal breakdown.
“‘Running from Ghosts’ is the heaviest song we’ve ever written,” the band said. “Not just musically, but emotionally as well. Emelle wrote the lyrics and melodies to convey the struggles and tell the story of the hurt going on in her personal life. The message of the song is simple – the more you try to escape your past, the more it comes back to haunt you.”
The forthcoming track will also be the band’s first with new drummer Ryan Seritti. He joins vocalist Emelle Eternal, guitarist Justin Walters, guitarist A.J. Lopez, and bassist Tyler Travis. Seritti is a seasoned road warrior, having toured with Capture the Crown, Gas Station Disco, and Phazed, some times playing up to 200 shows in a given year. He has been drumming professionally for over two decades and brings a wealth of experience to the fold.
