Royal Blood, Pantera, The Offspring, and more are slated to appear
After an incredible 20th anniversary celebration last year, Download Festival had some big expectations going into 2024. With heavy metal kings Metallica and 2000s juggernauts Slipknot headlining along with some new blood in Bring Me The Horizon, last year’s installment was an absolute triumph. Topping it will be a tall task, but Avenged Sevenfold, Queens of the Stone Age, and Fall Out Boy will try to exceed expectations next June.
Joining them on the bill are Royal Blood, The Offspring, Machine Head, Bad Omens, Billy Talent, The Used, and many more. The festival also marks Pantera’s first UK show in over 20 years, and the final UK festival appearance for Sum 41. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Next year’s Download is locked in for 14 June through 16 June at Donington Park.
Back on May 12, Avenged Sevenfold announced a surprise show at Area 15 A-Lot in Las Vegas. They followed that performance up with two record release shows at the KIA Forum in L.A. and Madison Square Garden in New York City. The arena concerts marked Avenged Sevenfold’s first proper New York City appearance since 2007 and their first Los Angeles county headline on sale since 2009.
In July, Avenged Sevenfold kicked off their first full North American tour in five years. The first leg began July 18 at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey. Re-visit our review of the show and see live photos HERE. The run wrapped up on August 7 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. Along for the ride were Alexisonfire and Kim Dracula. The second leg began on September 16 in West Palm Beach, Florida at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre along with special guests Falling In Reverse, wrapping up on October 15.
To date, Avenged Sevenfold have sold over 10 million albums worldwide and earned two consecutive No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart (2010’s Nightmare and 2013’s Hail To The King) to go along with over a billion video views and a billion-plus Spotify streams, as well as multiple No. 1 singles on rock radio. The band are equally known for their spectacular live shows, selling out arenas and headlining the world’s most prestigious rock festivals.
Queens of the Stone Age’s latest album In Times New Roman arrived on June 16 via Matador. It was recorded and mixed at frontman Josh Homme’s own Pink Duck, with additional recording at Shangri-La. The album was produced by the band and mixed by Mark Rankin. It is available across all digital platforms, as well as vinyl and CD. Artwork and double LP gatefold packaging was designed by long time collaborator Boneface. The LP vinyl is available globally in standard black, as well as limited edition green, red, silver and blue.
Fall Out Boy released their eighth studio album So Much (For) Stardust back in March via Fueled by Ramen/Elektra/DCD2. It was the follow-up to 2018’s M A N I A, which garnered a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall No.1 album. So Much (For) Stardust peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart.
