Rock juggernauts Crobot have unveiled the music video for their new song “Set You Free.” The clip was directed by David Brodsky from MyGoodEye. Stream the official video below.
The track is the second single from their forthcoming LP Feel This which arrives on June 3 via Mascot Label Group. It was produced by Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax, Steel Panther). Crobot released the music video for the record’s first single “Better Times” back in March.
Feel This will be available on CD, transparent red vinyl, and multi-colored splatter vinyl, as well as digital download. The multi-colored splatter vinyl is a limited edition of 500. Pre-order all versions of Feel This now HERE.
“No need to search any further, Beardos,” the band said in a statement to their fans who call themselves the Crobot Beardos. “Better Times are here to stay! You know we wouldn’t have it any other way. Buckle up and strap it down because Crobot is comin’ back to town. And with smiles on our faces, we’ve got all the right grooves that hit in all the right places. See you out there this spring for some ass shakin, ear smackin’ thangs!”
Feel This is a tale of perseverance.
“This is the record we’ve been wanting to do ever since we started,” frontman Brandon Yeagley said. “We’ve always thought of ourselves as a live act,” he continues. “When Jay Ruston described his process of recording, we were beyond excited about getting in and getting our hands dirty. It involved performing live as a unit and finishing all instruments on a song before moving on to the next. We recorded 16 songs in 21 days, which is a feat in itself.”
“Through constant struggles, we learn more what it’s like to be human. Our shortcomings and strengths alike make us a unique species,” Yeagley reflects. “Feel This very well may point to our biggest strength of all – our ability to feel emotion, for better or worse.”
Next month, Crobot are hitting the road for a month-long trek as special guests of Danzig alongside Cradle of Filth.
Crobot’s last outing was 2019’s Motherbrain. The album peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. It spawned two hit singles – The Top 10 U.S. Active Rock Radio hit “Low Life” and “Gasoline,” which hit No. 24 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
Motherbrain amassed over 30 million cumulative streams, with “Low Life” garnering 20 million of those listens alone.
Last year, the band released the Rat Child EP.
