It is the band’s first outing since 2018’s ‘Gravity.’
Bullet For My Valentine have announced their self-titled seventh album. The record is due out on October 22 via Spinefarm/Search & Destroy. The band released the first single “Knives” which can be streamed below.
“This is the beginning of Bullet 2.0,” frontman Matt Tuck said of the single. “It signifies where we are right now. The music is fresh, it’s aggressive, it’s more visceral and passionate than it’s ever been.”
For the past six months, the band has been in the studio grinding out the record.
“I wanted to come out guns blazing, fucking middle fingers flying, and just go for the throat,” Tuck stated emphatically. “I think this is a far more aggressive, intense part of Bullet For My Valentine. It’s always been there. I’ve just never opened the floodgates on it. I want to take people’s heads off in a metaphorical way.”
“I think it’s the most ferocious side of Bullet For My Valentine that I’ve ever known,” guitarist Michael “Padge” Paget added. “It’s time for us to put out a really angry, heavy, aggressive record. I just can’t wait to grimace onstage!”
Bullet For My Valentine’s last album – 2018’s Gravity – hit No. 17 on the Billboard 200 and cracked the Top 10 on both Billboard Top Rock and Top Hard Rock albums charts.
The band will most likely debut “Knives” live during their highly-anticipated performance at Download Pilot this weekend.
