Over the summer, Def Leppard released a brand new single, “Just Like 73.” The track features a very special guest appearance by Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello. Stream the official audio below. The band will be releasing the track on a 7” vinyl on August 2. It will be available in a special color variant only through the band’s D2C store and in black at all retailers. Additionally, the band curated a few limited edition packages that feature an autographed insert and a t-shirt. Check out all the available versions below.

The all-new “Just Like 73” notably marks the first collaboration between the iconic rock titans and the legendary guitarist, sonic innovator, and co-founder of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave. The single revolves around a classic Def Leppard stomp fueled by a robust stadium-size beat, thick riffing, and a signature chant, “Rock with me, just like 73!” Meanwhile, a knockout gang vocal gives way to a signature fret-scorching solo from Morello. The instantly recognizable whammy bar wheezes as he shreds at lightspeed into one last head-nodding hook.

Of the collaboration Joe Elliott shares, “It encapsulates a time that burned deep into our DNA. We wanted to celebrate that very important and glorious time.”

“When I saw David Bowie on TV between 1972 and 1973, everything I thought I knew about music went from black and white to vivid technicolor,” Phil Collen adds. “Our song ‘Just Like 73’ represents that awakening.”

Def Leppard released a new album, Drastic Symphonies, on May 19. The record paired the band with London’s iconic The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It features some of Def Leppard’s greatest songs reimagined, as well as a few rare gems. The record was released on CD, 2-LP black vinyl, limited 2-LP colored vinyl, limited -LP picture disc, CD/Blu-Ray (Atmos) and digitally. The vinyl and Atmos versions will also feature an exclusive bonus track, “Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad.”

Next year, Mötley Crüe are returning to the Vegas Strip. The Bad Boys of Rock ‘n’ Roll have confirmed an 11-show residency at Park MGM in the Dolby Live Theater. The shows are set to run from March 28 through April 19. A portion of the ticket proceeds donated to Nevada Partnership for homeless Youth through Mötley Crüe’s Giveback Initiative and Live Nation.

Nickelback’s tenth studio album Get Rollin’ arrived on November 18, 2022. It available now HERE via CD, deluxe CD, orange vinyl, limited edition D2C exclusive blue marble vinyl, and digital download. The record debuted at No. 1 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart, and No. 4 on the Canadian Albums chart.

Shinedown’s acclaimed seventh studio album, Planet Zero, produced by the band’s bassist Eric Bass, arrived in July of 2022. The album debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart and the Official UK Albums Chart, and at #1 on six other Billboard charts including Top Album Sales, Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative Albums Charts. Thetoured hard in support of the record, with live shows that featured the biggest production of their career.

“We are currently in the studio working on new music for Shinedown No. 8,” Shinedown frontman Brent Smith confirmed earlier this year.

After over a decade, Crossfade recently announced their return next spring. The band will perform at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, marking their first live performance in 13 years. The post-grunge rockers burst onto the scene in the early 2000s, making an unforgettable impact with their debut single “Cold”. Their follow-up hits like “Colors” and “So Far Away” further cemented their place in the rock world, earning them radio success across multiple formats. Despite their long absence, Crossfade’s music has had remarkable staying power, with listenership only continuing to grow across the globe.

“For years, rock fans have been asking us to make this reunion happen,” promoter Danny Wimmer Presents said in a statement. “We are so grateful to the band for coming together with us to finally make this a special reality in 2025!”
