(TRR) Adrenaline Mob were involved in a fatal accident today on I-75 in Micanopy, FL. In the afternoon of July 14, Adrenaline Mob’s tour bus and gear van involved in a crash on the highway as reported by The Gainesville Sun. The newspaper confirmed Friday that one person dies and six were injured as a tractor trailer veered off the highway, crashing into the band’s tour bus that was parked on the side of the road.
A total of nine individuals were in the vehicles at the time of the crash. One of them died, six were taken to area hospitals, and the remaining two refused medical treatment. Of the six injured, three were listed in critical condition and the other three in stable condition as of 2:55 p.m. this afternoon according to The Gainesville Sun. They were taken to UF Health Shands Hospital and North Florida Regional Medical Center.
Adrenaline Mob sound engineer Robert Dressler described a “boom” sound when the tractor trailer hit the band’s tour bus. Dressler was in his bunk at the time of the crash.
Sadly, this is not the band’s first accident on the road. In May 2014 while touring with Avenged Sevenfold and HELLYEAH, Adrenaline Mob were involved in a near-fatal car crash on their way to Canada.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the members of Adrenaline Mob, their crew, and their families.
