The Sessanta trek will see members all three acts performing together on stage
Next spring, members of A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer are joining forces for a once-in-a-lifetime event. All three storied acts will be performing together, on stage at the same time, during an exclusive run of West Coast shows in April of 2024. The event, dubbed Sessanta, will also see each group perform heir own distinctive sets, but the players will continually transform as the night unfolds.
The shows are in celebration of A Perfect Circle and Puscifer singer Maynard James Keenan’s 60th birthday. Artists Zoltron and Zombie Yeti designed the poster art for the tour. Prints will most likely be available at the merchandise booths. Check out the design below.
Notably, the tour will mark A Perfect Circle’s first live performances since 2018.
“It took some massaging, and some long days in rehearsal, but we managed to seamlessly pull off this three-song rotation at Cinquanta, my 50th birthday shows, at The Greek Theatre in 2014,” says Keenan of the seven-date run. “Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 15, with VIP options available HERE.
A Perfect Circle released their acclaimed fourth album Eat the Elephant in 2018. It marked the band’s first release since 2004’s eMOTIVe. Featuring the hit lead single, “The Doomed,” the record peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and topped Billboard’s Rock and Alternative charts. The subsequent tour marked their final live performances to date.
Puscifer’s Existential Reckoning was released in October of 2020 via Alchemy Recordings/BMG. Critically acclaimed, the record peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. They are promoting the album heavily on this run, and the crowd’s reaction has been more than favorable. Due to overwhelming demand, the group added several global stops to the tour. Back in March, Puscifer released Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired, a re-imagining of their latest hit album. The cover art was done by Daniel Martin Diaz, and the record features special appearances by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails), Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age), Phantogram, and more.
Last summer, Primus wrapped up their extensive Rush tribute tour, A Tribute to Kings. The run saw Primus performing Rush’s seminal 1977 album A Farewell to Kings in its entirety. Primus’s last studio effort was 2017’s The Desaturating Seven. The album hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart, and No. 2 on Top Alternative Albums.
