Paper Tongues unleashed their fresh, hybrid brand of hip-hop-rock in their home state at the 2012 Rebellion. The band moved to Los Angeles shortly after their formation in 2007 to begin work on their debut album. In a storybook chance encounter, frontman Aswan North spotted legendary music producer and American Idol judge Randy Jackson in a restaurant, and, well…check out the interview, I’ll let Aswan tell this one. The band released the Riding To California EP in 2009. Their debut full-length LP, Paper Tongues, followed in 2010. Since then, the guys have toured with Jet, Switchfoot, Flyleaf, Our Lady Peace, and Muse. In 2011, the band opened for Linkin Park on The Thousand Suns Tour.
