VOLBEAT AND ANTHRAX ANNOUNCE 2015 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUESTS CROBOT

Volbeat and Anthrax have announced a 2015 North American Tour with very special guests Crobot. The trek kicks off at the 1STBANK Center in Denver Colorado on April 25, 2015 and wraps up on May 2, 2015 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Additional dates are said to be announced imminently. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 31 HERE. Volbeat and Anthrax just played Slipknot’s Knotfest over the weekend in San Bernardino, CA. Anthrax debuted a snippet of a new song at Knotfest, hinting at the fact that they are working on new music. In an exclusive interview this past spring, Volbeat’s Michael Poulsen told us the band has been working on new material and tentatively plans to drop a new album some time next year. Tomorrow, Crobot will unleash their debut studio LP Something Supernatural, which is a cornerstone of our 2014 Fall Album Preview. Volbeat and Anthrax share another special and interesting bond. Current Volbeat guitarist Rob Caggiano played guitar for Anthrax from 2001-2005 and 2007-2013. Upon his amicable departure from the band, Caggiano began working Volbeat on their new album as a producer. After seeing the chemistry in the studio, frontman Michael Poulsen asked Rob to join the band. This tour should open doors for some very cool on-stage collaborations between the two metal giants.

This will be Volbeat’s fifth North American tour trek in support of their latest effort, Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, which came out back in April 2013. The record has taken the band to whole new level, giving them their first Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 at #9. Volbeat were nominated for a Grammy Award this year for Best Metal Performance for the song “Room 24 (feat. King Diamond)”. Volbeat have always received widespread acclaim in Europe. The band’s debut album, The Strength/The Sounds/The Songs, won the award for Best Debut Album at the 2005 Danish Metal Music Awards. The record also broke the band into the mainstream in the U.S. with the hit single, A Warrior’s Callwhich garnered massive play on rock radio nation-wide. Over the past few years, Volbeat have been touring relentlessly, playing some of the world’s biggest festival stages including Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion, Download Festival, Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, and Metallica’s Orion Music + More Festival.
