THREE DAYS GRACE PREMIERE NEW SINGLE “PAINKILLER”, FIRST STUDIO MATERIAL WITH MATT WALST

Alternative hard rockers Three Days Grace have premiered a brand new single today. The track, “Painkiller”, is the band’s first studio material to feature new vocalist Matt Walst. The single will be available for download on iTunes tomorrow, April 1. Walst joined the band in early 2013 following the departure of long-time front man Adam Gontier. The band toured extensively with Matt in 2013, and just a few days ago he was announced as the new permanent lead singer of the band.

“We are happy to announce that Matt will be a part of Three Days Grace. Matt has been on the road with us, and has been writing with us since 2003. Bringing Matt into the 3DG family is a no-brainer…he’s always been in it.” – Three Days Grace

Matt Walst is also the lead singer of My Darkest Days, who have toured with Three Days Grace in the past. Matt is the younger brother of Three Days Grace bassist Brad Walst, making Matt an even better fit for the band. Three Days Grace are currently working on a new studio album. Their last effort, 2012’s Transit of Venus, debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200. Three Days Grace will continue to tour this spring and summer, including a stop at Heavy Montreal in Canada on August 9-10 alongside Metallica, Slayer, The Offspring, Bad Religion, Lamb of God, and many more. – by Matt Bishop (@The_MattBishop)
