The 2014 American Music Awards are set to air on November 23 on ABC at 8pm ET. This year, rock nominees include Imagine DragonsEric ChurchBastille, OneRepublic, and 5 Seconds of Summer. Imagine Dragons and 5 Seconds of Summer are also set to perform during the show. Imagine Dragons recently released “I Bet My Life”, the first single off their upcoming new album. Over the summer, the band was a featured act at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE, and they co-headlined the Budweiser Made In America Festival in Los Angeles. Southern rocker Eric Church is in the midst of a massive world tour supporting his new album The Outsiders which debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top 200 and the Billboard Top Country Albums charts back in February. A string of dates on his current tour featured support from Grammy Award winners Halestorm. Bastille won British Breakthrough Act at the 2014 BRIT Awards. The band was a featured act at the Radio 104.5 Birthday Show in Philadelphia this past spring and the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta back in September. OneRepublic are still touring off their latest album Native which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Top 200. The band served as one of the headliners of Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA in 2013. The Aussie pop punk act 5 Seconds of Summer exploded into the mainstream this year with their first self-titled LP. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and the Australian Albums Chart. Last night, the band garnered two MTV EMAs for Best New Artist and Best Push. – by Matt Bishop
