FAITH NO MORE ANNOUNCE 2015 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

unnamed (6)Faith No More have announced a 2015 North American tour. The trek kicks off on April 15 at the PNE Forum in Vancouver, BC and wraps up on May 15 at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA. “Here we go,” said bassist Bill Gould. “First North American tour dates, some in cities we haven’t played in over 17 years.  We are armed with the new material and ready for whatever comes our way.”The band will be headlining Soundwave Festival 2015 in Australia in February. Their brand new album is due out later this year and is the band’s first studio effort in 18 years. The disc’s second single Superhero will be released as a limited edition 7″ vinyl on March 17. A digital download will follow on March 31. The album’s first single “Motherfucker” was released on Record Store Day’s “Black Friday” event back on November 28 and was released digitally on December 9. The band has been working on their new material in Oakland, CA with bassist Gould producing the project. Gould recently spoke with our friends at Rolling Stone. “We’ve always shared a chemistry between ourselves that’s unique to this band, but these past few years of touring together have made us aware that we not only play better as a unit, but we like the new stuff we’re coming up with,” Gould said. “So we’ve decided: we’re going to get busy in 2015…make an album we’re proud of, kick things up a notch, get out there and perform it and maybe even dedicate a little more focus to our fans in the States this time.”

The new album will be the very long-awaited follow-up to 1997’s Album of The Year which hit #40 on the Billboard Top 200. The band scored their biggest successes with 1989’s The Real Thing and 1992’s Angel Dust. Throughout their career, the band has sold over 10 million albums worldwide. They’ve been nominated for three Grammy Awards and five MTV Video Music Awards, winning in 1991 for Best Visual Effects in a Video for “Falling To Pieces”. – by Matt Bishop (Bottom Photo Courtesy of Dustin Rabin)
